Imagine a Mountain Running – Seattle Art Museum and Cadence satellite screening 2nd July

Cadence directors Chelsea Werner-Jatzke and Rana San have been running the video poetry festival (as well as associated workshops etc.) since 2018. I love their brief guiding principle ‘We approach video poetry as a literary genre presented as visual media that makes new meaning from the combination of text and moving image.’ They have also developed a very creative approach to screening films.

If you are in the US and in Seattle next week please go along to Seattle Art Museum to see the third satellite screening from their original April festival entitled ‘Imagine a Mountain Running’.

The artists being screened are: Glenna Morrison, Scotland; Anna Doyle, Australia; Josh Corson, USA; Panu Johansson, director, and poet Christina Rossetti, Finland; Adam E. Stone, USA; Hugo Sindelar, director and poet Travis Truax, USA; Ghada Sayegh, Lebanon and myself Sarah Tremlett.

Wish I could be there, (along with the World Cup crowds on July 1st) but wish them well and a great evening.

This program takes place during First Thursday Art Walk and will show on loop from 5–8 pm, with an introduction by Cadence co-directors at 5:45 pm.
